FAQS

Do I need to book in advance? +

To secure your place, we recommend booking by phone or WhatsApp (+351 918 109 960), especially at weekends and during busy periods such as the summer holidays, Christmas and Easter.

What is the minimum age to drive an IKCR kart? +

Usually from 11–12 years old. Drivers must be at least 1.35 metres tall. Even if they meet the height requirement, younger children may not yet be mature enough to drive. Karts are not toys: they weigh 140 kg. We will test steering and braking and, together with the parents, decide whether the young driver is ready to drive alone. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a parent. If this is not possible, they may drive only with a declaration signed by a parent or legal guardian. We can provide a template; request it via WhatsApp (+351 918 109 960) or email indoorkcr@gmail.com.

Can minors drive on the track alongside adults? +

We do not recommend it. This possibility will be assessed together with the parents.

Are there weight and height limits? +

Our SodiKart RX7 karts have a maximum driver weight of 120 kg and a maximum height of 2 metres.

How many karts can be on the track at the same time? +

We usually have no more than five karts on the track at once. A maximum of six is allowed only when all participating drivers have considerable experience on our track.

Do I need experience or a licence to drive a kart? +

No. A mandatory safety briefing is given before entering the track. It explains how the kart works and all safety rules. All drivers must agree to follow these rules and use common sense.

What should I wear for karting? +

Wear comfortable sportswear and closed shoes with flat soles (trainers are ideal). Shorts or trousers are fine. Skirts and high heels are not allowed. Crocs, slippers, flip-flops and sandals are also prohibited.

Do I need to bring a helmet? +

IKCR provides helmets and hygienic balaclavas. You may bring your own helmet, but it must be a full-face helmet with chin protection.

Can I wear glasses with the helmets? +

Yes.

How do the kart’s brake and accelerator work? +

The accelerator is the pedal on the right and the brake is on the left. Never press both pedals at the same time, as this can damage the engine and braking system and drastically reduce speed.
